Vacation Bible School 2007

Well Vacation Bible School has come and gone for this year. But fun was had by all!!!! We started out the week learning about "Daily Cheer" (which happened to be my group. The 5 and 6 year olds). We need to encourage others always. The daily verse was "But exhort yourself daily, while it is called today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin." Hebrews 3:13

Tuesday we learned about "Daily Prayer". We must pray always and know God will answer our prayers. Not always the way we want them answered but He will answer them! The verse for the day was "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace,that we may obtain mercy,and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16

Wednesday we learned about "Daily Share". We must share God's word with everyone. The verse of the day was "And daily in the temple,and in every house,they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ." Acts 5:42

Thursday we learned about "Daily Bread." Not the kind you eat!! God's word , how we are to first believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, to be truly sorry for our sins , to ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins, and to ask Him to come into our hearts! The daily verse was "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4

And Friday we learned about "Daily Praise" how we are to praise God for EVERYTHING! God has his reasons for doing everything in our lives. The daily verse was "I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth." Psalm 34:1

The kids, which by the way at the end of the week totaled about 32 , learned all kinds of new songs ,played games and had lots of fun making different crafts. On Friday night we had a petting zoo and BBQ with hot dogs, chili and home made ice cream!!! Everyone had lots of fun , food and fellowship. It turned out so well the church plans on doing it again next year.

Dawson's 4th Birthday!!!

Well it's finally here Dawson's 4th Birthday. I can't believe he's that old . I remember when he could almost fit in the palm of my hand. Now look at him . and He's all boy too!
We took the motor home to Arizona this past week end and stayed for almost five days ( not long enough!!!) Even Mike was able to come down for a couple of days.
When we got there it was so hot!!!!! No one in their right mind lives in Arizona on purpose ESPECIALLY in the summertime. It was so hot that the dog didn't even want to go out the ground was so hot!
On Saturday we celebrated Dawson's Birthday at Peter Piper Pizza ( equivalent to Chuck E. Cheese) What a mad house there were kids everywhere!!! But I think Dawson had a good time. Cassy (Mommy) made a cake for Dawson and cupcakes for all the kids. Dawson decided to taste the cake ahead of time. Just to make sure it was OK! He got ton's of gifts like usual, ate pizza,played games (more interested in putting the tokens in then remembering to get the tickets he won. But that was OK because Uncle Mike won a bunch of tickets for him!!! Dawson even shared his tickets with his girlfriend Chloe. Uncle Nick and Aunt Olivia came to the party also. When we were all done we went back to the motor home and opened grama and grampa's presents. He had the best time with a toy microphone and punching bag that Uncle Mike gave him. Then for dinner we went to Texas Roadhouse for Uncle Nick's birthday dinner his birthday is two days before Dawson's birthday. We all had a great day.
On Sunday afternoon Chris (John's brother) and his wife Sarah and their kids Steven and Kiersten came over to visit we haven't seen them since John's mom passed away five years ago. Boy! do they all look different especially the kids Steven is 13 now and Kiersten is 10. How time fly's. After visiting for awhile we went to Cracker Barrel for dinner. That's my favorite place!
It was nice getting visit with them.
On Monday it was nice John and I got to do NOTHING it was great just getting to spend time with each other something we don't get a lot of time to do. We watched TV,played domino's and BBQ'ed just the two of us it was great.
Tuesday our last day there was Dawson's actual Birthday and we brought cookies that Cassy made to his school and got to see him play with his friends. Also a lady from the Phoenix Zoo came to his school and she brought some animal's for the kids to see. It was fun. But then it was time for us to head back to the motor home and leave for home. All in all we had a great time it just wasn't long enough.

Welcome to our site! May 10,2007

This is my first attempt at doing something like this! Many of our loved one's and friends don't get to see us very often so I figured I would give it a try.

Well the summer months are slowly approaching and we are looking forward to all the things we have planned to keep us busy.

Of course John will be working very hard at his air conditioning job. He works long hard hours but he loves his job very much.

Mike will be attending American Band College at Southern Oregon University to start working on his Masters Degree. He will be gone for three weeks this summer and for the next two summers. Then when he gets back he will be getting ready for the 2007-2008 Band Camp and Marching Band season.
Cassy will be busy working as a waitress for NYPD Pizza (in Arizona). Dawson is looking forward to his 4th Birthday in July . Time sure flys it seems like it was only yesterday, in a year he will be starting Kindergarten. Boy do I feel old!!!
Nick is working for a warehouse in Arizona driving forklifts and Olivia is going to school to become a medical biller.
And as for me our church (Redlands First Missionary Baptist, Redlands Ca.) sponsors camp for a week June 25th-29th and I am planning on attending. Also in August the church will be sponsoring Vacation Bible School and I will be helping with that. Along with a 2 day a week Bible study . So we will all be pretty busy. Maybe John and I will find a little time to get away in our new RV for a little rest who knows.
